This species has moderate care requirements and a semi-aggressive temperament. It is available in black, blue, green, and yellow color forms and is a herbivore. It is suitable for reef tanks and prefers specific water conditions: specific gravity between 1.020-1.025, temperature between 72-78° F, dKH level between 8-12, and pH between 8.1-8.4. It can grow up to 1 foot and 4 inches in size and belongs to the Acanthuridae family. A minimum tank size of 250 gallons is recommended for this species.
